Totality of Human Knowledge
Sunday, November 4th, 2007While Wikipedia has yet to reach (if ever) its goal of making the totality of human knowledge available to everyone, it is in line with my mission in life (ask me). Sometime around 1999 to 2000, I had an idea similar to Wikipedia which I dubbed Omnisophia - from the words ‘Omni-’ (meaning ‘All’ or ‘Totality’) and ‘-Sophia’ (meaning ‘Wisdom’ - a higher degree of knowledge). Too bad (or too good?) back then I didn’t have a personal computer yet.
